Water Crisis

2.1 billion people do not have access to clean and safe drinking water at home, and there are huge inequalities between countries. Water demand is expected to increase by 1/3 by 2050, since climate change and population growth are the main challenges for water.

Internet of Things (IoT) can help to improve water management issues such as consumption, water usage improvement and cost reduction.

Project Objective:

To monitor water flow, level and leaks using Internet of Things

Project Aim:

The aim of this project is to find out the potential of IoT to be a part of the effort to curb the problem of water crisis and manage water resources efficiently. Further, efforts are necessary for releasing the full potential of IoT systems and technologies. In this smart device, we have interfaced Level Sensor and Flow sensor with the NodeMCU (IoT Development Board) and collected data locally. This data is sent to Firebase through WiFi Connectivity. By using this device monitoring water level, flow and leaks and sent notifications to the users.
